Don't Rainier on My Parade

Well we made it. In our short time in the Seattle-area we managed to go to the Seattle Aquarium, eat at the Space Needle, shop at the REI flagship store, see gorgeous Dale Chihuly glasswork in Tacoma, take the ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and visit the Butchart Gardens, wander the Pike Street Market and hike on Mt. Rainier.

Mt. Rainier alone is worth the price of admission.

The wildflowers are in full bloom in the mountain meadows.

Mt. Adams was visible in the distance to the south.

We're having a great time and getting settled into our new apartment. We have plenty of room for visitors and will be looking for any excuse to go to the moutains so don't be shy.

Glad to hear things are going well (and that you are far from dying of boredom)! Keep us posted on life in the Pacific northwest....
