Ingalls Creek: Whitewater and Wildflowers

Roaring rapids, beautiful blossoms and even some local wildlife.

Last Sunday we headed to the Olympic Peninsula for the first time. First stop was the Deer Ridge Trail in the Olympic National Forest south of Sequim, Washington. The hike featured lush, green forest and what we could only guess would be awesome vistas if not for the overcast sky.



After the mountains we stopped by the Dungeness Spit, a five mile spit of land that juts out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the body of water separating Washington from Vancouver Island, for a little bit of breezy beachcombing.
