The only thing better than the blue bone is the yellow rope.

After spending an ample amount of time in the Naughty Box for going through the day's mail Linus was wound a little tight. We decided to take him out for a go at the yellow rope that hangs from the tree in the backyard. Chasing after it and wildly thrashing it about is one of the Spotted Dog's favorite acitivites.
"I command you to play with me! Play I said!"

Now, the reason Linus is tied up is that his survival instincts never fully developed. This is one animal that survives by his looks, not his brains. He can easily jump the low fence between our house and the neighbors and can then crawl under the next fence. By that time he is one fence away from both sweet freedom and doom (29th Street). He's the Steve McQueen of dogs.

Linus: Postal Inspector

Dear Eric,

We received your latest correspondence in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately, Linus was the first to read it.

Anyway, hope you're having a blast. A nice cold one in Ft. Collins or Southeast Asia sounds like a great idea. Happy travels.
